B550CH Chamberlain garage door opener VS Google nest WIFI 5 with 2 points

Good morning Folks!

You are the last ones before I throw the towel!

I have 2 B550CH Chamberlain units that cannot connect to my home wifi network.

Changed my wifi network 3 times (leased router from my ISP - I tried and expander, moving my router and now I have a Google nest wifi mesh in the garage). So the signal is strong enough. And I've installed the last version of MyQ on Android.

Everytime, I go through the same connexion procedure and the units see my home network. The led turns blue, blinks then stops blinking... Stays blue then turns out black. And everything drops.

Because the exact same situation happened with each Network (router, expander and mesh network) I think there might be an issue with the unit... But both units have the same issues... I'm puzzled, it's the least I can say.

I was offered these solutions:

Recommended Router Settings for the myQ Wi-Fi Products

This one is interesting is it mentions that I need to :

How to Factory Reset a Wi-Fi Garage Door Opener

It is just not going through... both units... with every network I've tried... so I can't find the problem!

Cheers guys!

Oh... Haha!

I removed any accents or weird characters from the SSID and it worked out well!

I'm closing this saga!

Thanks!

Hi RammFanX,

I'm happy to hear that you got things worked out and I appreciate you letting us know what the fix was! As you've found the answer here, I just wanted to check in to see if there was anything else you might need before I mark this as resolved. If so, just let me know.

Thanks,

Jeff

Maybe what worked for these guys works for you:

I don't work for Google.

Hey olavrb,

This may look like a silly question, but what does an AP stand for?

English is not my first language.

Thanks!

AP = Access point. 🙂 A device that broadcasts Wi-Fi.
