Best firewall appliance compatible with Google Nest

I am looking for a good firewall appliance to use that will support google nest.
I have a fiber connection at 1 Gbps which currently goes to a nest router that is then connected via a switch to the rest of the ethernet network, including two more nest routers. The only AP's are the routers.

I would like to be able to pull of the firewall extra lans work seperate networks via seperate switches (work environment).

PFSense and Netgate is something I'm considering.

Any suggestions for something that will work well with Nest?

Thanks

Hello @gudik

The primary Nest WiFi Router (the one connected to your internet service) is a NAT firewall. You may be able to put another firewall outside the Nest WiFi network, but that is not generally recommended, since the resulting double NAT may cause issues with the operation of Nest WiFi. You may be able to put another firewall inside the Nest WiFi network instead. Devices behind that firewall will also be subjected to double NAT, but that may or may not be a problem.

That's a sensible approach, i.e. to have a firewall inside/after the nest router.
