Can old Google Wifi points be connected to Nest Wifi Pro if using ethernet connection?

I am considering upgrading my Google Wifi (2016) network to Nest Wifi Pro.  I understand that the Google Wifi (2016) points are not compatible with Nest Wifi Pro, but from what I've read that non-compatibility is for the mesh function.

If I plan on connecting the Google Wifi (2016) points to my network via ethernet cable only, and do NOT plan on using them for their mesh capability, can I still connect my Google Wifi (2016) points to my Nest Wifi Pro network?

Or will the Google Home App not even let me connect/activate the Google Wifi (2016) points after I've activated a Nest Wifi Pro router?

Hello @TriviaJockey

No (unfortunately) – the older Nest WiFi Router and Google WiFi units cannot be added to a Nest WiFi Pro system, even if they are connected via Ethernet. Here's the help page on wired connections (note the Compatibility table): https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/7215624?hl=en
