If I click on "WAN Connection" under "Advanced Settings", I get the message "You cannot edit these settings right now. Ensure this mobile device is connected to your Wi-Fi network."
I followed the show how dialog but no luck.
This problem was discussed recently and closed without a sufficient answer. Can anyone else add to this?

Hi ymmij,
Thanks for posting—let's get this sorted out. Forget and reconnect your phone to the Wi-Fi. Then, uninstall and reinstall the Google Home app, and then try to edit the WAN settings again. If the issue persists, check to see if using a different setup device works.
Let us know how it goes.
Regards,
Alex

I did the forget and reconnect for the Wi-Fi. I reinstalled the Google Home app. I had never restored the app before, so I assumed that the app would read the router for its settings and I would be up and running, So surprised that it was asking me what I wanted to set up. I just bypassed that. Then tried to reset the WAN to static, but still no response.
So was I expected to reset up the main router?
Thanks,
Russ

Hi, was a solution ever provided for this? I'm also experiencing the same problem. I can't change my WAN connection to Static IP. I've followed all the steps online and the ones highlighted in this thread and had no luck. Thanks!
