I specifically bought a google mesh router so I could play GTA 5. I called my internet provider, Tmobile and they suggested this router. I need to forward ports. I found an article describing how to forward ports on goggle mesh on the internet but it doesnt work. I go to advanced network and port management and there is nothing there about ip4. Also the article called the app I need Google Wifi but I could not find that either I had to settle for Google Home. The problem with GTA 5 is I get a message about Strict NAT type. I have read articles that forwarding ports helps this problem. I thought the auto plug and play would help this but evidently it doesnt. I still get the message with my computer hardwired to the google router which is wired to my Tmobile modem/router. Is there any way to get the old app called Google WIFI which evidently does allow port forwarding.

The google home app does allow it.
Go into wifi> click wifi devices> cick the main router> click the gears icon> network settings> advanced networking> port management> bottom right corner + icon. Select the device you want to forward. At the top is ipv4 or ipv6

Thank you very much Kudos but I followed yoiur directions and I must have a different App. I searched for Google WIFI but all I coiuld find is an App called Google Home. I open Google Home it says Google Wifi Router and theres a gear icon in upper right corner I hit the gear and it says Device settings...Device name placement etc. at the bottom of the page is Network Settings I open that it says primary network with several areas i open advanced networking there is no ipv4 theres UPnP DNS Settings Lan Settings and there is one called Port Management I click it and it says Privacy settings Nest Wifi cloud services and wifi stats something. I NEED THE APP YOU HAVE KUDOS THE NEW GOOGLE APP CALLED GOOGLE HOME DOES NOT ALLOW PORT FORWARDING. Is there a way to get the old app????

Haha guy sorry I called you Kudos I was mixed up HERES THE STORY. I called customer support their awsome. The reason Im not able to port forward is my Tmobile modem/router is in control. I have to call Tmobile and tell them to put their modem/router into BRIDGE MODE. Then the ability to port forward will show up in my Google Home app under port management. Thanks so much for the reply I was befuddled because I couldnt get IPV4 to show up. Happy Holidays

Hi Tookims,
I'm happy to hear that support was able to provide an answer for you on this. I'll check back with you in a few days to see if the update from your ISP worked things out for you. In the mean time, do you have any other questions or needs?
Thanks,
Jeff
