I had to factory reset my nest wifi system. I added the router back fine and now I cannot setup the points. I factory reset them manually over and over, have reset modem, but every time, it gets to the last “finishing up the final bits” and times out. I’ve spent 4 hours trying to set these up. All points are pulsing white, except one which stays solid orange even after reset. Using google home app on iPhone.

See following Google Support guide for "Troubleshoot setup with iOS":
---
Make sure the device used for the setup process with the Google Home app have no VPN enabled/ connected; not any 3rd party product, nor the "Apple iCloud Private Relay" ( https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT212614 ).
Make sure the Google Home app has been granted permission for "local network access" ( https://support.google.com/chromecast/answer/7172427?hl=en ).
While connected to the Google Wifi/ Nest Wifi wireless network with your iPhone or iPad and doing work with the Google Home app, make sure following settings is disabled:
• "HTTP Proxy" ( https://www.expressvpn.com/support/troubleshooting/disable-proxy-safari/#ios ).
• "Limit IP Address Tracking".
• "Private IP Address", also known as "MAC randomization" ( https://support.apple.com/en-ca/guide/security/secb9cb3140c/web ).
When adding additional points: IPv6 on Nest Wifi has caused strange problems lately. One thing to try is to disable IPv6 ( https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/6361450?hl=en ), add new Nest Wifi unit, then leave IPv6 off or enable it again.
---
If nothing of the above works, try from a different iOS, iPadOS or Android device, using the Google Home app with the same Google account, or a Google account that has been granted access to the specific Google Home home ( https://support.google.com/googlenest/answer/9155535?hl=en ).

I tried all that. I got 3 points to connect. I did change the SSID to something we’ve never used before and they seemed to connect easier after that, still had to try a few times. Then once they’re connected, I change it back to our normal SSID. I still have one left to connect that’s timing out at the last step.

this all happened because I accidentally enabled ipv6 in google home, and the whole system went offline, I couldn’t access it to change settings back so I had to factory reset.

Hey aliciavr6,
So is everything working correctly now that you have gone through the reset process? Is there anything else I can help you with on this? If you still have any needs, please let me know.
Thanks,
Jeff

The three points are working fine. I’ll get the last one sooner or later.

Ok, good to know, aliciavr6.
We'll leave the thread active and wait to see how the last point setup goes when you get around to it.
Thanks,
