Changing time for night mode

Cs

I just set up a nest wifi network but I cannot change the time for night mode.  I click on edit and just get a box showing the current time setting for night mode.  It won’t let me change the time.

Hey, Cs.

Sorry for the issues you're having with the Night Mode settings. I'm sure that's frustrating to see a setting and not be able to change it. Before I jump in fully, however, I do have a couple of quick questions.

  • Are you trying to change the Night Mode time on a device, such as a speaker or display?
  • Are you looking to create a routine for downtime?

If you can clarify just a bit what you are trying to control with the Night Mode setting, I'm sure we can get this sorted out. I look forward to hearing back from you. Thanks.

I am trying to change the night mode time for a Wi-Fi access point.

Hey, Cs.

I see what you're getting at now. So the Night Mode settings are not available on the WiFi points. You can adjust volume and light brightness settings in the Home app for the points, but the actual Night Mode setting (which is a Digital Wellbeing setting) is available for speakers and displays. You will notice in the settings that Digital Wellbeing is unavailable when looking at the WiFi points through Home.

If this clears things up, let me know. Thanks.

Hey, guys.

I'm not sure what might be causing this, and in my research I'm not finding other instances of something this specific missing from the options. I'm going to go ahead and consult with my internal teams here, and I'll update you both when I have more info. Now that we have two cases, I'm hoping we can start narrowing down what's going on.

Thanks for hanging in there with me on this.

Hey, everyone.

Just as an update, we're still looking into this issue and as of yet we don't have a solution. I just wanted to touch base so you would know that you haven't been forgotten. In the meantime if anything else changes about your situation, please feel free to update us in the thread.

Thanks!

Good to hear, glennc83.

I've shared with our internal teams the issues with the iOS version of the app and they have been aware for some time. It's definitely on the list of items being worked on for a fix.

Thanks.

Hey, Cs.

It's been a while, so I thought I would check in. Have you been able to get this worked out, or are you still struggling with the settings? If you still need help, let me know and I'll be happy to continue looking at this with you.

Thanks.

Hi, everyone.
As we haven't had any activity here recently I'm going to go ahead and close the thread. If you have more to add, feel free to start a new discussion.
Thanks

I'm trying to do this with a speaker, and have the same problem.  I'm using an iPhone with the latest app version (2.44.105), when you touch the edit symbol, no keyboard or user interface control appears that allows the time to be changed, only an 'OK' button.

I was able to solve my problem by using an old Android tablet that I had floating around.  That said, the UI is still present it the IOS application.
