I have a Nest WiFi router which as we know is Dual Band.
I have both a PS5 and a Chromecast with Google TV connected to my WiFi network. They are next to each other as they plug into the TV.
The PS5 has no issues connecting over 5GHz, however the Chromecast is only connecting to 2.4GHz. Signal strength in that area is about 85% as per the PS5 network test so that shouldn't be an issue.
As the Nest router has very limited configuration options, I'm wondering what else I could try to force the Chromecast to connect over 5GHz instead
I don't know where to go to from here.

The most common reason your Chromecast would keep connecting to the 2.4GHz band is simply because it gets a better connection in that band. It may be that it's too far away to get a good connection or there's obstacles in the way, particularly because I'm assuming it's behind your TV, whereas your PS5 is not?
The best thing you can do here is do things that improve signal quality in the area where your Chromecast is. I would also look at the layout of your Wifi points in general so they are positioned as much as possible as Google recommends to improve Wifi performance.

That's fair. the Chromecast is indeed behind the TV. That said the PS5 is inside an entertainment unit.
