I'm trying to commission a Tesla Gen 3 wall charger. After completing the required tasks, it still does not want to connect to the internet.
It suggests that I disable the WPA3 setting. Would someone please explain how to do this?

I have WPA3 enabled, and my Tesla Wall Connector has been working okay. What I have found is that any devices that were already set up on my network before I installed Google Nest WiFi continued to work. I have not been able to add new 2.4 GHz devices. My previous router allowed me to temporarily disable the 5 GHz radio so that I could commission new 2.4 GHz devices. After commissioning new 2.4 GHz devices, I could enable the 5 GHz radio. The newly commissioned 2.4 GHz devices will then continue to work with both radio bands enabled. I wish Google would give us the option to temporarily disable the 5 GHz radio. I have another brand WiFi router on order because of this problem.

Hi Edward,
Thank you for following up on this. I will walk through the setup of a brand new SMART LED STRIP LIGHT that uses the Magic Home app on an Apple iPhone 13.

Magic Home app says to add LEDnetnnnnnn in WiFi settings. When I try this, I get the message “Unable to join network LEDnetnnnnnn“

Hi SteveVT,
Thanks for the response. Are you trying to connect your phone to the temporary network of your LED light? Could you check if the Local Network Access feature is enabled for your Smart Led light strip?
Looking forward to your response.
Thanks,
Edward

Hi Edward,
Yes. Local Network Access is enabled for the Magic Home App. I have some other devices that use the Smart Home App. I will do a factory reset on one and see if I can set it up like a new device. Maybe the problem is unique to Magic Home devices.

Hi Edward,
I reset one of my Smart Life devices to factory, and successfully added it to my Google Nest mesh WiFi network. I am thinking that the problem is unique to devices that use the Magic Home app. I think the Nest network is working fine. I will avoid Magic Home devices in the future.
Back to the original post regarding the Tesla Wall charger. . . My Tesla Wall Connector continued working fine when I converted my existing SSID to my new Google Nest mesh router. I notice the device status in Google Home says it is offline, but it works. Maybe it has something to do with time of day? My Tesla is set to charge in the early morning off peak hours.
Thank you for your help,
Steve
