Hello,
I'm hoping someone can help me please. I recently setup a new Google nest wifi router and point however I'm having issues with my phone saying it is connected without internet. It is the only device in the house (12 other devices) that has this issue. I have tried switching the mac address setting from randomised to phone but still have the issue. I've also reset the network settings on my phone but this hasn't help either.
I'm starting to wonder if maybe the position of the point being next to my wireless soundbar and subwoofer is causing some interference but I maybe clutching at straws!
Any other suggests would be great please.
Cheers

Do you have WPA3 enabled on the Google Nest device?
02-07-2023 01:52 PM
Hi,
No it's not enabled.
Thanks

Thanks @Ticker .
Do you have anything configured for the network under Advanced Settings? Also, can you advise what your network setup looks like?

It's pretty much out of the box setup all I did was set the same ssid and then put the virgin hub into modem mode.
Under Advanced settings-> network controls the only setting enabled is UPnP everything thing else is default.

Thanks @Ticker .
There is an apparent issue with the A21s that causes these types of disconnects and has been known for some time. Luckily, there are troubleshooting guides that will help up figure out the culprit. Below are two articles that go through settings and actions to take that have been successful for others.

Quick update.
Disabling intelligent wifi hasn't fixed the issue.

I'm unable to boot the phone in recovery mode. Has the process changed?

Please ignore this last post, I've found a solution to wipe the cache partition. That said let's see how I get one as this is the last suggestion for fixing the issue.

I thought wiping the cache partition had fixed the issue but unfortunately not!
I'll just have to live with it or remove the Google nest wifi.
Thank you for the suggestions @PatrickP_Viking

Hi Craig,
I appreciate your update about this issue. Try to forget your WiFi network. Here are the steps: open your phone's Settings > WiFi > Tap and hold your network name until the pop-up menu appears > Forget the network > Select your network name again and enter your WiFi password to reconnect. If the phone still disconnects, change the DNS on your Samsung phone.
Let me know how it goes.
Best,
Lovely

Hello Craig,
Go ahead and disable the Preferred Activities in your Samsung's Google Home app. If you haven't already, you can also try to change the WiFi password of your Google Nest mesh system.
Keep me posted.

Lovely

Hi Lovely,
I don't have any preferred activities set under the wifi section of the google home app. I also tried setting automatic date and time on my phone after seeing a few posts online but alas the issue still occurs.
I'll look to reset the WiFi password however a little reluctant as I'll have to update all my connect devices.
The issue appear to happen when I move around the house presumably moving between router and point.
Many thanks
Craig

Hey Craig,
I want to confirm if you've already tried changing the placement of your Nest Wifi devices and updating your Samsung phone to the latest firmware version. If you did, go ahead and set a static IP on your phone.
Before you set the static IP, make sure you already reserved the IP address on the Google Home app.
Let me know if this helps.
Regards,
Lovely

I think I'll just have to learn to love with it.
Thanks for your help
