Netflix thumbnails are not loading

Hi,

In my nest wifi network, Netflix thumbnails are not loading. It works fine when I use a VPN though in the same network. I tried factory reset, removing the cache as well.

Could you let me know if there are any other things that I should try?

Thanks for posting. Let's see what's going on.

A few questions: what device are you using to access Netflix? Does this happen when using multiple devices? Could you try restarting the device used and see if the issue persists? We'll wait for your update.

I am accessing from Macbook, Android TV and Ipad, all same. Tried refreshing cache on the devices, Restarted browser, restarted devices. Still the same

Hey akashkaveti,

Appreciate the update. I'd like to isolate the issue further. Could you try using a different network, perhaps a hotspot connection from your smartphone using mobile data, and then try again without the VPN? Also, do you encounter any issues when accessing other websites or apps?

Hi Abigail,

I tried with different networks, like switching to mobile hotspots, it loads perfectly alright. The issue is only when I connect to the Nest wifi network.
atleast for the websites that I use regularly it works fine, have issues only with netflix.

Hey akashkaveti,

 

Thanks for the additional information. Try to change the DNS server in your Google Home app and then power cycle your entire network. Here's how:

  1. Disconnect the power from the modem.
  2. Disconnect the Ethernet cable and power cord from the parent point.
  3. Disconnect the power cord from the child points.
  4. Leave everything unplugged for 2 minutes.
  5. Connect the power from the modem then your router and points.
