Custom DNS Settings Keep Reverting

Hello,

I successfully use OpenDNS at home to filter content, and I am trying to assist a friend with young children to do the same on his home network.

In his case, he sets the openDNS addresses in the Custom DNS section of the app, hits save, and shows me a screenshot that proves it was successful, but within a few minutes, it reverts back to 'Automatic,' and the IP addresses he has entered disappear from the custom section.

I'm stumped.  Can anyone explain what is happening?

I've read earlier that this works from Google Home on Android, but not on iOS.

Ask your buddy to try the same from a Android phone with the same Google account logged in to Google Home?
