Nest WiFi cloud services

Why does @Jeff recommend Nest WiFi cloud services ON? Mine is off and Nest works fine. I don't want to use cloud services. Thanks for reply.

From Jeff's reply linked below:

"Open the Google Home app.

  1. Tap the WiFi icon.

  2. Tap Settings.

  3. Select Privacy settings.

  4. Toggle Nest WiFi cloud services OFF and wait for 30 seconds, then back ON.

Because its sends data to Google so they can "analyze" it and "make your services better".  Its also crippled many people's Google Wifi's by severely limiting the bandwidth to all devices connected.  Right now, my feeling is to avoid turning this on as it might prevent or remediate problems with your setup.

OK. Thanks. I definitely don't want or need google to "analyze" and "make your services better", I just want Nest to work and it does very well. @Jeff was right. Just shut down and restart worked for me. It was strange that the Nest WiFi router was "offline", the other routers still worked.
