Device not appearing on the port forwarding list

I am trying to port forward ports on my gaming desktop, but it doesn't appear on the list of devices to port forward. It is currently using a dynamic IP address. I already tried rebooting both the computer and the network and forgetting the network on the computer but it still doesn't appear.
How can I get it to appear on the list? There are many other devices there, but not this one.

I was able to fix this by assigning a static IP in Windows! Thank you for your help.

Hello @sevenstop

Thanks for bringing your concern to our attention and posting it in the community. I apologize for the inconvenience it may be causing.

It seems your gaming desktop isn't appearing in your router's device list, preventing you from setting up port forwarding.

To better assist, please share the following information:

  • Does your ISP offer static IPs for their service?
  • Did you reserve the IP address in the upstream router?
  • Have you tried manually assigning a static IP address to your gaming desktop?
  • Is your gaming desktop connected to the router directly, or through a switch or other network device?
  • Have you checked your router's advanced settings to ensure that port forwarding is enabled and configured correctly?

Once you share this information, we can diagnose the issue and provide a resolution.

Hello, apologies for the late reply.
1. I'm pretty sure it does. Should I try to set that up?
2. No idea. I haven't done anything with the modem so probably not.
3. No I haven't but I can try it!
4. It's connected through the Google Nest wireless network and there is no option to use an Ethernet.
5. I'm using Google Nest as my router and it is enabled, my specific device just doesn't show up on the list.
