Using the Home app to pause devices (fireTv and Motorola/Android on wifi, Denon Receiver and Dell laptop on ethernet), but still seeing data activity, downloads and uploads. Why?
Furthermore, the amount of data being uploaded seems excessive, across all devices. For example, the FireTv (plugged into the receiver HDMI input) in a single hour uploaded almost 2G. During one partuclar 24-hr period, it uploaded each hour a consistent 10M-15M. My Dell in one day uploaded 8G. (Again, these devices are paused.). Have long suspected hackers from streaming sites are accessing the various mics in devices (google wifi, firetv remote, laptop). Related? How do i determine the nature of all this data being uploaded? Also, is it possible to determine when/if the mics in each of my devices has been activated?
