I had the nest routers for a while and a while ago I purchased an LG soundbar (SP9YA) and whenever the soundbar was on, it would slow my Wi-Fi speeds to 10mbps or slower. I found that it had to do with the soundbar interfering with the WiFi channels and unfortunately there’s no way to edit the WiFi channels…. After doing some research I found this was a wide issue for the routers. Does anyone know if the nest pro routers fix this issue? I really would love to get a nice soundbar again.

Early today, I noticed that my download speed on my Nest WiFi Router was restored from the previous fault of 50mbps.
I can not see that the firmware version changed but I can confirm that it’s back to it’s prior working condition.

It broke again….

Hello @Nickc13
The Nest WiFi Pro adds a number of features, including a third WiFi radio operating in the 6GHz band. This band avoids the spectrum used by many wireless sound bars. However, it still uses the same 5GHz channel that overlaps with many wireless sound bars, and most WiFi clients today do not yet support the 6GHz band. If they support 5GHz, they will use that radio and may encounter issues with wireless sound bars. Nest WiFi Pro does move the wireless mesh interconnect from 5GHz to 6GHz, so the network as a whole may be happier, but given the client situation, I don't think I'd recommend trying to use both in the same area. Unfortunately, even when everyone is following the regulatory rules, you can still run into spectrum sharing issues like this.

Hey,
The issue on my 2019 Nest WiFI still persists. Had a lengthy discussion with the Google online support chat, reset everythgin and still the same 50mbps cap on download speeds.
WhenI switch hardware to my old Router I get my full line speed.
Google support said they will get back to me asap, but nothing as yet.
Thanks.
