Done with Google Wifi

I have had Nest Wifi for about 6 years.  I updated to Pro about two-three years ago and currently have 7 pucks operating in a house of about 5200 square feet.

The past few years have been awful.  Constant degradation of mesh.  I have gone through countless tech support suggestions and troubleshooting steps as recommended on this forum and others.

The past month or so has been worse than ever.  I AM DONE.

As an fyi, if you update to an Eero system through Amazon, you can get a gift card for sending back your Nest Wifi pucks (I got $20 for sending back my 3 remaining original pucks) plus 25% off a new Eero mesh system.  Essentially, I got $123 off a new 3 puck (6k square foot) system.

I don't know if Eero is the best, but the reviews on the 6E pro are pretty good and I already have an Eero system backing up our alarm so it made the most sense.  If you have any other Amazon Echo devices that are somewhat recent, they can also be paired as Wifi extenders apparently.

I imagine this post will get removed for promoting another company, but Google I tried and tired and tried.  This has been a longstanding issue that instead of getting better, has gotten worse.  My new system arrives tomorrow.  I'll update after install if I am allowed.

I totally understand that. It seems that Google hires people to get intake but not resolve any issues. I had gone through at least 2 agents who promised to get back to me after escalating to technical support team or manager (I doubt they exist), then disappeared. Even a post in the Google Community went no where (https://www.googlenestcommunity.com/t5/Nest-Wifi/Slow-Nest-Wi-Fi-and-Google-support-agent-can-t-keep...).

I can assure the problem is Google Nest router itself since I plug it out and plug another Wi-Fi, no other things changed in the network. Then, speed is fast and stable again in every test. And believe me, every troubleshooting steps had been done and gone through at least 2 times with Google support agents.

Hi Abi, I am still testing it. Problems usually do not happen after setup.
