Dual WiFi networks with Google Neat Mesh

Hi-I want to establish a two-network home. The “outer” network is connected from my ISP-provided modem, and is an ASUS eT8 mesh network with 1 router and 1 node. I am attempting to add the google nest mesh as an “inner” network. This should be doable by connecting the google router to the ASUS LAN port. Nonetheless, the google router displays “no internet”. I have the google inner router connected by Cat5 cable from the Ethernet port on the google router to the Ethernet port on the ASUS outer router. Do I have to adjust network settings (DNS etc) to make this work?

Hi Layton74,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Google Wifi. I'd love to know more about this. Are you trying to set up the Google Wifi when you get the message? Also, what's the light status of your Google Wifi?

Thanks,

Edward
