Sadly Google has announced the total end of onhub on Dec############. So, what now? The "generous" 40% discount from MSRP price is not competetive and nest wi-fi does not even support wifi 6. And even If I switch to nest wifi I will be forces to replace it again in 4-5 years? Is there anything about it in terms and conditions?
Anyhow I bought my 2 onHubs and set up as mesh 4 years ago and I see no reason to upgrade as everything works just fine. I can get that no new features, updates will be provided but why I won't be able to change existing wif settings. I dont need new features and updates just leave it as it is now.

Hi, DrZ0idberg.
Sorry for the late reply here. I'm sorry about the frustration over the OnHub discontinuation. The OnHub devices will continue to work, but they just won't be manageable in the app any longer. For now, Nest WiFi is planned to be the main WiFi product along with Google WiFi for years to come. I know it can be disappointing when devices are discontinued, but support is commonly pulled for devices that are no longer up to spec in ways that allow them to be kept secure and in line with current tech standards.
If you have any other questions, please let me know.
Thanks.

If I get google wifi as the main router and set up the existing onHubs as access points. Is that going to work after December.

Hey, DrZ0idberg.
The OnHub devices will continue to work as they have before, but your ability to manage them through the app will be cut off. You will definitely need to have them set up before that point, however.
Thanks.

It looks like we've slowed down here again. We'll be closing up the thread unless anyone else has any input or needs anything else. If so, just let me know and we can keep this open a bit longer.
