Family Wifi Is NOT pausing my devices anymore as of today (Samsung Smart TV, Chromebook, etc.)

Greetings!

We use our nest wifi and Google Home / Family Wifi set-up to control access to our Samsung Smart TV and occassionally other devices for our child.  All of a sudden tonight no matter what I do, it is NOT pausing the devices.  On my Android phone, it says the devices are paused but the devices still have full internet.

I tried:

- Deleting and reinstalling the Google Home app

- Adding any unknown devices to the paused family group

- Checking to make sure the TV is connected to the network controlled by Google Home (it is)

- Restarting the router, all the points.

- Trying a different pause schedule in case there was an issue with just one.

- Trying to cut wifi through the pausing to my daughter's chromebook (that didn't work either)

I don't know what else to try.  Any ideas? Anyone else having this problem?  It seems like it's an issue with Google Home.  I do notice that when I try to save updates to the paused time, it seems to get stalled saving in the Google Home app and then when I back out, it claims that they are using the new time. So, I wonder if there's an issuew with the app and the pause isn't really saving. But I'm not sure how else to check that.

Edward,

Hi. I ended up having to do a complete factory reset of the whole Google Home system and then set it all back up again. Now it seems to be working.

Thanks for your help.

Hi kknowles727,

Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with pausing your devices. I see that you already tried some troubleshooting steps. Based on your description, it looks like an issue with the app. To isolate this, could you try logging in to the Google Home app using a different device?

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks,

Edward
