Fire Stick and PlayStation won’t connect to Google Mesh

Recently, my Amazon Fire Stick and Playstation 4 stopped connecting to my Google Mesh WiFi. All other devices work fine. I even bought a new fire Stick thinking that the other one died, but the new one says the same—when I click my WiFi name and input the password, it says no connection. Same thing on my PS4. I did a factory reset on my Google Mesh router and re-added the points because they had been slowly blinking orange randomly (all other devices have been able to connect to the network and have great connection), and still the fire stick and PS4 won’t connect. Help, please!

Hi Jsampley,

Thanks for reaching out to our community.

I’m sorry to hear that your Amazon Fire Stick and PlayStation 4 stopped connecting to your Google Mesh WiFi. Thank you for providing important details such as the message you get every time you try to connect these devices and the new Fire Stick to your WiFi network.  It's also important to note that you re-added the points after doing a factory reset on your Google Mesh router. No worries, help is here.

Before I start further troubleshooting, let me ask you a few questions:

  • Could you please confirm what model of Google Mesh WiFi you are using?
  • Do you use a modem and router combo?
  • Do you use the same network name and password as your previous network?
  • Could you please check if your affected devices are updated?
  • Could you please check that your device's status is not paused?

Thanks for your kind attention; I will be looking forward to your response.

Best regards,

Virna
