Hello,
I have a Google Mesh system. The past few weeks, we have had issues across multiple devices (android, Firestick) connecting to random websites, notably Disney+ and Powerschool. After contacting Comast (who said its not them), changing modems, I am thinking it may be the Mesh. When I restart the network in the Home app, the issue resolves temporarily, for about a day. Most other websites work just fine.
Does anyone have any suggestions for how I could figure out this issue or resolve it? I would appreciate any advice!

Hi fermata15,
Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your Google Wifi. I'd love to know more about this. To isolate the issue, could you try connecting one of the devices to the guest network and check if it's doing the same thing?
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Edward

Thank you for your response!
I just put my phone on the guest network and the Disney+ app and Powerschool apps won't work. However, they are working on the firestick and another phone on the regular network. Last night, I reset the entire network when Disney+ on the firestick wouldn't connect to Disney+ again.
This is definitely above me, so I appreciate the assistance!

Hi fermata15,
Thanks for trying the steps. Another thing that we can try to isolate the issue is to customize your DNS. Please try the following and let us know if there are any changes:

Thank you for checking back! I did your suggestion a few days ago, and changed to the custom DNS. I have still had some issues. It's not always the same websites, but as soon as I restart the network, it solves the issue temporarily, for a day or two.

Hi fermata15,
Thanks for trying the steps. To isolate the issue further, could you check if the SafeSearch feature is on? Here's how:

Edward

Thank you. I did have safe search on, but only for a couple devices the children use (not the ones I use). I have turned it off, so I will see if that helps.

Hi, I still had the issue even after turning off the filters. I tried a complete factory reset this morning and will write back how that works. We usually see the problem again 1-2 days after doing a restart.

Since I did the factory reset, we haven't had the issue! I still haven't set up the guest network or turned on safesearch. I'll introduce those again later, but now know what to do if I encounter the issue again. Thank you!

Hi, fermata15.
I just wanted to see if you needed anything else or if we're ok to mark this one as resolved.
Thanks.

Great news, fermata15. I'm happy to hear it worked out for you and that everything is working as it should. Before I mark this as resolved, is there anything else I might be able to help you out with at this time?
Thanks.
