Google Nest Router no longer broadcasting wifi signal

PeterWallington

Hi all,

I have had a Google Nest working perfectly for 2 years, but now it's having some issues. For the last few days, the access points have been dropping in and out, and today, I decided to factory reset the system to see if it solved the problem.

It now appears that the router is no longer sending a wireless signal. According to the home app, the router is online and working, and the wireless settings are ok, but if you search for the network, it does not appear. I also enabled the guest network, but this is not appearing either.

I have reset all the devices multiple times and deleted and reinstalled the app, but nothing has helped.

Has anyone experienced this and it so did you manager to fix it?

Thanks in advance.

Peter W.

Hi PeterWallington,

Thank you for reaching out to the community. I apologize that your Google Nest Router is no longer broadcasting and drops your Nest Wifi Points and network. I understand how frustrating this can be. I'm here to help.

Before I begin, I need to ask a few questions for further assistance:

  • What type of Google Nest Router do you have?
  • Do you use a modem and router combo?
  • Do you use the same network name and password as your previous network?
  • Does the affected device have Wi-Fi capability?
  • Which device can't connect?

Please keep me posted; I'll look forward to your response.

Regards,

Byron
