Nest WiFi Router Continuously Reboots

My Nest WiFi Router (model H2D) is stuck continuously rebooting. A white light appears and stays lit for about 4 seconds before disappearing. This repeats every 20 seconds.

This router has been working well for several years in its current location. Earlier today our WiFi lost internet connectivity; we could still connect to the WiFi network, but not to the internet. I rebooted the network via the iOS Google Home app but the network never came back.

I have tried rebooting the router by removing the power and Ethernet cable and plugging them back in several times, but it doesn’t seem to fully boot up. I have restarted our modem, which is working fine (we have Google Fiber).

What can I do to stop the rebooting cycles and get my WiFi network back in place?

This sounds like it could have a potential hardware problem. The best thing to do in this case is to contact the Google Nest support team directly.

  1. Go to Contact Us - Google Nest Help
  2. Select an appropriate product or category, type a brief description of the issue, then click Next.
  3. Click Other, then click Next step.
  4. In the Resources section, click Next step.
  5. Choose to get a phone call, call or chat with the team, depending on availability in your country.
