Hi,
I have a Google Nest Wifi setup with 1 Hub and 6 additional routers (nodes). Three of them are connected via Ethernet and work perfectly. The other three are placed upstairs and used to work flawlessly — but one day, they suddenly started showing "Weak connection" in the Google Home app, despite no changes on my part.
Here's how things are set up:
Upstairs, I have one wired node in a central location. It works perfectly.
Around that node, in three separate rooms (on the same floor), I have placed three wireless nodes. Two are fairly close to the central one, and one is a bit further away. All three now show weak connection in the app.
Previously, all three had strong connections and everything worked fine.
Nothing was moved, and no major changes were made to the setup when the issue started.
I’ve tried placing the weak nodes higher up and closer to the central wired node, but it hasn’t improved the situation. The nodes are not behind TVs or other electronics. The wired nodes downstairs still work perfectly, and all cables are confirmed to be properly connected.
It almost feels like the mesh system suddenly started routing traffic differently or failing to maintain the link between nodes upstairs.
Can you please help me understand what could have caused this sudden change, and how I can fix it?
Thank you in advance!

Hi @StefanCaling,
Thanks for reaching out to this community! I understand your concern with your Google Nest Wi-Fi system. While the three wired nodes are working fine, the three wireless ones on the second floor are suddenly showing a "Weak connection" message in the Google Home app, even though you haven't changed the configuration or physical locations of these nodes.
I appreciate you taking the time to reposition the weak nodes and confirm that all your wired connections are working correctly. No worries, I'm here to help!
