Hi guys. I'm running into a problem, I need some help with. I have been using a Google Nest system for a few years now, it's a router and one point. Recently I purchased a used wifi point. It was bought locally, so I don't think that's the issue, and judging my it's looks, it's in good condition, but I can't get the new wifi point to connect.
I go through the whole setup process, and it fails at the connect stage, so the wifi point never gets added to the mesh. I've done a factory reset, I've deleted the homepage and set up a new one. I've tried to connect from having all three wifi devices next to each other, I've tried using a different device to run Google Home. Nothing helps.
Can anyone suggest anything I might be missing. It seems like it could be an authentication issue, just because it's at the point where it's connecting to the network, it fails.
Thanks

I should clarify. The message I'm getting is "could not communicate with wifi" Google Home finds the point, goes through the whole setup process, the wifi point pulses blue, and then that message pops up.

I can see that you bought this new Wi-Fi point, and when trying to set it up in your Google Home app, it won’t connect. You have tried using a different phone, factory resetting the device, and also moving the devices to the same room during the setup, but the issue persists. Let me help you with this.
