Google Nest wifi connecting to a group

I have a network with a nest router and one of my points is another nest router. I created an audio group with all of my points but neither of the routers are available to add to the group. It will add my Chromecast devices on 2 TVs but not the routers. Can routers not be part of an audio group, even if one is only being used as a point?

Hello @Jeffh

The Nest WiFi Router units do not include smart speaker features. It's not a function of whether they have been deployed as a primary or a secondary ("point") – they don't have the speaker, microphones, or audio processing hardware to start with.

Thank you. That is what I suspected but couldn’t find it written anywhere. Case closed. Thanks again.

Hey, Jeffh.

Looks like you were able to get this worked out with MichaelP's help. Before I mark this is as resolved, I just wanted to make sure you were all set. If there's anything else you need, just let me know.

Thanks.
