Google WiFi (old) refuse to connect to Google NEST Point-network

I had a network consisting of three Google NEST Routers, one Google NEST Point and three older Google WiFi units.
One of the Google NEST Routers are the "main" unit connected via cable. It worked fine for a year, then because it was unstable, I decided to factory reset my whole network and set it up again from scratch. After a few tries I was able to get the Google NEST Routers and the Google NEST Point added to the network, but I am not able to get the older Google WiFi units connected. They show up in the Google Home app, but connection fails in the last stages (after room has been picked) and I get the following message: "Couldn't connect to mesh network. Try restarting router and set up Wifi point again", followed by "Problem connecting to cloud. Please try again later."
I have tried multiple times, with different Google WiFi units, with and without cabled network, with multiple factory resets without any luck. Currently the network is working fine, except not being able to add these older units. If anyone can provide some tips it will be highly appreciated. I have read tons of threads (though no-one seems to have had exact the same problem) and tried everything I could find except buying another system, which is next on my list. Running iOS version of Google Home. Thank you in advance. Kristian

Hey kespy,

Thanks for posting — let's see what's going on.

A few questions: have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling your Google Home app? Also, have you tried using an android device to set up your Google Wifi point? If not, please try and let me know how it goes.

Please try the steps below and tell me if it helps:

  1. Open the Google Home app.
  2.  Tap Favorites or Devices.
    • Favorites: Tap Wifi.
    • Devices: Tap and hold your device's tile > tap Settings, or More > tap Settings.
  3. Tap Network settings > Privacy settings.
  4. Toggle Nest Wifi cloud services on or off, then tap Save.
  5. Try setting up your Google Wifi point again.

Best,
Abi

Thanks for your reply. I have tried everything except buying a Android-device. I eventually gave up and tried installing a Google WiFi Pro-system. First i setup two points in «one go»,  then on the third I got the same problems as with the old Google Points… I reset again and installed six Google WiFi Pros at once, and that worked 🤷‍♂️ Best regards, Kristian
