I have experienced this issue several times, and it usually resolves itself, but it's becoming cumbersome and I wanted to see if anyone else had experienced this and/or had some sort of explanation as to why it was happening and how it might be remedied.
We have Google Mesh with 1 Nest point thrown in. Recently, my laptop and my wife's have had an issue where, while we can easily connect to our primary WiFi network, our laptop prompts us that there is no Internet. We get the same message after disconnecting from the wi-fi, forgetting it and re-joining, restarting the laptop, etc. However, when we join our guest network, the internet works just fine.
How is this happening? How can it be remedied? We have other devices on our primary network with no issue (including printers, smart speakers, tvs, etc.), but our laptops tend to bear the brunt of not having internet when connected to our primary network.
Appreciate any help or insight this forum can provide.

I thought I had solved this when I had removed the network, readded it back on a newer gen 2 nest router. I added another Gen 2 and then had a Google Gen 1 router.
I get the same problem again. Frustrating to spend all that money on three routers for really a small space I'm not have it work consistently. We all rely on internet home now so much. I do so as I work out of my house like many others and I just don't get why modems that are designed to work together or not consistently

Same problem. First my son's phone had this problem. Now mine has it as well. Even stranger, several other devices and PCs in the house have internet access on the primary network. So the primary network has internet access, but some devices that connect to it cannot see it. The guest network continues to have internet connection that all devices can access. Must be a setting issue on the devices that can't access internet?

Hi PRD16,
Thanks for reaching out. I'm sorry to hear that you're having an issue with your guest network. I'd love to know more about this. To isolate the issue, could you check the LAN IP set on your Google Wifi? Here's how to find out:
Looking forward to your response.
Thanks,
Edward

Hi Edward,
Thanks for your help. I checked the setting and the LAN IP settings and the router LAN address is 192.168.86.1
Is that what you are looking for?
Paul
