Google Wifi Starts playing music randomly

benetnorthcote

Hi there,

There are a  couple of threads about this, but I can't find a satisfactory resolution.

My Google Nest Wifi Speaker randomly starts playing music in the middle of the night (and sometimes during the day).

It is part of my home mesh system.  I don't have any routines running, nor is it part of a speaker group.

Any help/advice gratefully received.

Thanks.

Hi @benetnorthcote

Playing random music at night sounds creepy!

Do you see any activity here: https://myactivity.google.com/ around the time the music plays? 🤔

Thanks for the reply.

No, I can't see anything.  I am filtering the results on Google Assistant, but it isn't showing the time it turned on, on its own, yesterday evening.  Should I be filtering results for a different product?

Thanks again @RXShorty

Hi @benetnorthcote

That should be the right place so it is no assistant command that issued the music playback (so it seems).

Do you have some other electronic devices near your Google Wifi setup?
Sounds like a crazy question but maybe some other electronics are interfering.
