Google Wifi access point has stopped working

[EDIT]. After waiting for hours, it's made a fool of me and finally rediscovered the secondary point. All seems to be working now!

My setup is a main Google Wifi point upstairs in the study, with a second one downstairs. This has been working well for years.

Yesterday, I was at work and received several notifications that the downstairs (ie. secondary) access point had lost power. When I got home, every appeared normal (ie. in terms of lights) but there was no wifi downstairs. The app just said the downstairs one was unavailable.

I've done a factory reset of the downstairs access point, but the Google app doesn't find it when I try to re-add it to the network.

Is it just dead? As I say, we've had this setup for years. I've watched a few videos but absolutely nothing will get it to appear in the app as an available device.

Thanks for any suggestions.
