I have been using a Google Wifi + Google Point mesh system since 2020. During 2023, while my house was being renovated, the system was off, but I recently reinstalled and added a few extra Google Points.
In my new system, I have the Wifi Router connected directly to my Spectrum modem. From the router, I am using a switch to direct distribute connection to two offices, and the router also provides the wifi. I have 5 points set up around the house (around 2900sq ft).
I don't think I experienced any issues for the first few weeks in the new set-up, but recently we've experienced frequent, intermittent down time on wifi. It is not connected to Spectrum, which can be unreliable, but not this unreliable :). I have not had a notification of any Spectrum outages, and we have had no issues connecting to the internet via ethernet in either of the offices.
What is going wrong? Do I have too many Points set-up? Is this related to some firmware issue? Help!
