Google Wifi does not work when I am not in my state

I believe this is the one I have at home. Google Wifi - AC1200 - Mesh WiFi System - Wifi Router - 4500 Sq Ft Coverage - 3 pack.

It works fine when I am home (NJ) but when I stay in Florida for the winter, it stops working. I called the internet provider and they told me that my connection is active (Optimum).

I had someone go to the house, unplug, plug, disconnect from the modem and the router do not work.

By the way, I don't know much about technology, so the platform and the product might be wrong. I don't have any computer at the house. All I want, is to have the Ring and Garage door connected to the wifi.

What can I do to fix this problem?

Hey @mendes0510 .

Can you provide more information?

  • When you say that the modem and router didn't work after the power cycle, can you provide more details as to what wasn't working?
  • Does it stop working at a particular time and/or day each time you leave NJ?
  • When you leave and then go back to NJ, are there any "shutdown" or "startup" procedures done (light, heat, power in general, timers, etc.)?
  • When you had someone power cycle the equipment, what light colors were they seeing on the modem and Google Wifi before and afterwards?
