Google Wifi won't finish connecting

Hello! I've had 3 google wifi devices for a long time but recently two of them have been having trouble reconnecting after they were accidentally unplugged. I have factory reset them and I have plugged them into the main google wifi that is connected to the router, but every time I get to the last stage it fails. It either fails immediately or waits a few minutes to say that the mesh failed. I don't know what to do.

Any help is appreciated:)

Hey, sleepypanda22.

Sorry about the connection issues you're having with your WiFi points. I know it's frustrating when you can't get your devices all online. Let's get this worked out for you.

Thanks for letting me know what you have tried so far. That lets us skip a few steps. Have you tried setting any of the points up with them connected via Ethernet cable to your main router? If you haven't tried that yet, give it a go and see if it gets them to complete setup. If that doesn't work, let me know and we'll try more steps from there.

Thanks,

- Jeff

So there is one that is set up through an ethernet cable that is like the "main" google wifi point. And it is still connected to the router through the cable. I need to get another ethernet cable that can fit the google wifi because I can't seem to find another one. But when I have one I'll try this. I do have a question, If I do connect the other two wifi points through ethernet, will I be able to move them to a different part of the house?

I'm having the same issue as sleepypanda22.  I have factory reset my puck.  I go through the setup steps with the app, scans the QR code and it connects the wifi 1st time, then goes through the two splash pages, tries to join wifi again and fails.  I've tried connecting via cable with the same results. Any suggestions?

I have no idea, but if I manage to figure it out I will let you know.

Hey, sleepypanda.

The cable is just used for the setup. Once you get them online, you can move them to where they will be used and use them wirelessly, for sure.

Thanks,

- Jeff

Hi again, sleepypanda.

I'm just checking in to see if you were able to give that a try with the ethernet cable and to see if it worked out for you. Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks,

- Jeff

Hey, everyone.
It looks like we've slowed down here. We'll be closing up the thread unless anyone else has any input or needs anything else. If so, just let me know and we can keep this open a bit longer.
Thanks.
