I seem to find options online on sites talking about how to block sites from Google home for individual devices but none of them match up to capabilities in the app. Did this feature get taken away? How do I block specific sites for specific devices?

Hello @LucianoCunha
It is not possible to block individual web sites. The parental controls can enable "safe search" features for devices in specific groups, but this is of limited effectiveness. I have found it much more effective to use the parental controls features of the device operating systems instead. Apple's "Screen Time" and Microsoft's "Family" for example, are much more flexible and much more difficult to bypass since they are operating on the device itself.

Thanks for the response. The challenge is that what I am trying to restrict is on a school laptop that comes home. I don't have access to admin functions on that computer since it is a school computer so was trying to use my router to block content. Youtube is one of the major distractions I am trying to figure out how to block. I have an extension blocksite but my kid learned to use different profiles to get around it hence the router capability would be best as it is our of their access.

Hello @LucianoCunha
That does sound like a challenge. Google/Nest WiFi have never had a feature that could block access to specific sites (mostly because it is also relatively easy to get around). You might reach out to the school, but honestly, this may be a problem that can't be resolved with technology.
