Google listed as device on wifi as well as unknowns, am I safe?

I have just installed nest a couple of months ago, and have many unknown devices and now a Google listed as device. Why am I seeing these and how are they getting on my home network? I've changed my password at least 3xs. now they are grey I can't remove or pause. Would love the option the block and pause until I figure out what's happening, especially since I had a break-in earlier this year. Thanks for any advice

There is this longstanding issue:

And there is client side "MAC randomization", which often is enabled by default on iOS and Android devices, which makes it look like for Nest Wifi that new devices are connecting all the time. Dissble MAC randomization on clients connecting to Nest Wifi, is a good place to start.

So in summary: You're likely not hacked, it's either the longstanding issue linked first, and/or MAC randomization, a privacy feature of modern client devices that can be disabled.

I don't work for Google.

Yes please that would be great. I could supply screen shots if needed. I have no other google devices other than the nest and one point. Maybe a bug, but it's concerning as I've been having multiple issues at my home. Break in, glass with dogs, had to get Cpi to replace a camera and reformat another disk. Now I'm just paranoid. Any reassurance would be fantastic at this point. Thank you for your time.

Hello sdixon,

Rest assured that your network is not compromised. Also, aside from changing your Wi-Fi password, you can also rename your network name

If you have other questions or concerns, feel free to let me know.

Kind regards,
Lovely
