Hi Omer1453,

Thanks for posting. I'm sorry to hear that you are having this situation with your Google Mesh WiFi that is not working with some apps. I understand how frustrating that situation can be. But don't worry, I can help. I just need some information to provide further assistance:

  • Which specific apps are you having trouble with?
  • What kind of problems are you encountering? Are they crashing, loading slowly, or not connecting at all?
  • Are you using any VPN or security software that might be interfering with your connection?
  • Do these apps work when using another device like a phone or tablet?
  • Is the Google Home app showing online or offline on your device?

Once I have this information, I can provide the correct assistance.

Best regards,

Jenny

Hi Omer1453,

Thanks for your reply. I understand that the situation is with the IPTV app. Here are some steps that you can try to solve the situation:

Change DNS for Android devices:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Select Wi-Fi.
  3. Long press your current network, then select Modify network, Modify Network Settings, or a similar phrase.
  4. Check the Show advanced options box.
  5. Change the IP settings to static.
  6. Add the DNS servers 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 to the "DNS 1" and "DNS 2" fields, respectively.

Change DNS for iOS devices:

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap Wi-Fi. If it's off, turn it on.
  3. Pick a Wi-Fi network, then tap on the blue "i" icon.
  4. Tap Configure DNS.
  5. Enter the DNS addresses "8.8.8.8" and "8.8.4.4.".
  6. Tap Wi-Fi to go back.

You can check how to "Change your DNS server" on the Google Home App.

Please let me know how that works or if you have any questions. I'll be happy to help.

Best regards,

Jenny

Hello @Omer1453,

Thank you for posting in the community.
I appreciate the details about the issue you're facing with your iPhone apps and mesh Wi-Fi network. While disabling IPv6 can sometimes resolve connectivity issues, thank you for your effort. I need you to confirm if the IPTV app is the only one you are having issues with.

In the meantime, we can explore other potential solutions:

  • Check App Compatibility: Verify if the apps you're using are compatible with mesh Wi-Fi networks. Some older or less updated apps might have limitations.
  • Restart Devices: Power cycle your iPhone, mesh Wi-Fi system, and router.
  • Try a Different WiFi Network: Temporarily connect your iPhone to a different WiFi network to see if the issue persists.

Please let me know how it goes. Thank you.

Regards,
Jorge

Hi, I tried all the things mentioned in your respond. Still not working. Yes IPTV is the only the app having issues. When  I was on Spectrum, I did not have any issues with this. Additionally, when I go to coffee shop and get on their wifi, IPTV works. My google wifi does not work with this.
