Google nest WiFi pro not connecting to my Xfinity router

I have factory rebooted my nest devices and attempted to reconnect them to my system (there was never an issue before) and not I simply get this message:

“The operation couldn’t be completed. (Googlemac_iphone_home_wifi_localAPI_bluetooth.bluetooth.bluetoothsetupAPIErroe error0.)

I am not sure what the  work around here should be…

Does someone have a solution?

Hi, @Jbostwick9,

Thank you so much for reaching out to the community. I'm truly sorry your Google Nest Wi-Fi Pro isn't connecting to your internet. I'm happy to help you find a solution.

To effectively troubleshoot, I have a few questions related to your device:

  • Is the Ethernet cable from the modem plugged into the terminal port on the WiFi device?
  • When you performed the factory reset, were the devices removed from the Home app?

Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow:

  • Force close, then reopen the Home app.
  • Toggle Wi-Fi off, then on:
    • iOS (iPhone X or later): Swipe down from the top-right corner to open Control Center. Tap the Wi-Fi symbol to disable it, wait 10 seconds, then re-enable it.
    • iOS (iPhone 8 or older): Swipe up from the bottom to open Control Center. Tap the Wi-Fi symbol to disable it, wait 10 seconds, then re-enable it.
  • Forget Nerby networks.
  • Turn on local network access on iOS:
    • Go to Settings.
    • Select Bluetooth and make sure it's enabled.
    • Go back to Settings.
    • Tap Privacy > Local Network.
    • Toggling Google Home on.
  • Restart your WiFi device.
  • Ensure Bluetooth is on and there are no other devices connected. Then, try to connect to the Wi-Fi network.
  • Power cycle the device:
    • Power the device off.
    • Wait 30 seconds.
    • Power the device back on.
    • Try to connect to the Wi-Fi network.
  • If the previous step doesn’t work, use a different mobile device for setup.

Please let me know how it goes.

Best regards,

Ana
