Hello.
I have a Google wifi "puck" in my home office. I think I am a little confused on how to set this network up. To begin, I use Verizon wifi service (not super impressed with this by the way), it's a white cube that also sits in my office. I contacted Verizon at some point and told them I have this Google Wifi puck in my office and they told me to plug a cable from this cube to the Google "puck" so that the internet would simply "pass through" the cube and then into the puck, from that point on the puck would as as a router? Again, I am not networking genius. I wish there was someone locally that could come over and go through all of this but there doesn't seem to be anyone that's an expert, so I am here asking the world wide web if there is anyone on here that knows how this stuff works and how I can/should set it up. Also, I have a VOiP phone in my office that I can't use because I have no idea how to connect this into my system. HELP!

Hello i work for Google Fiber and customer service and I spend my day typically setting these up with customers. In order to use this Google Wi-Fi point with your existing fios set up from Verizon all you have to do is connect an ethernet cord from tobacco your FIO device to the bottom ethernet port that looks like a little globe. After you do that you want open up the Google home app selected devices tab in fact add device i'm walking through the setup steps in the app. it will ask what you are setting up select nest or partner device which should be the second option on that screen. When you're finished it'll work if you want to set up another device just select no and it will take you back to the home screen and you will then see your nest Wi-Fi point in the devices tab and on the favorites tab you'll then have a button up at the top of the screen that says Wi-Fi which is where you will select so it make any changes to your Wi-Fi network that you may need in the future. And since the FiOS device produces its own Wi-Fi signal you may want to open the settings on the FiOS setting's menu and fit that device and what should be called bridge mode which will just turn the Wi-Fi portion of that device off that wayYour Google Wi-Fi point and the files device do not have to compete for Bandwidth availability (Both devices producing their own wifi network at the same time may cause them both to act odd or not work all over the home like you want him to) . I hope this helps and if you need further instructions you could either reply to this thread which should send me a notification or contact support at support.google.com/nest then selecting wifi in the list provided on that page.
