It’s ridiculous, it will be stay online for week or two and then each nest routers starts failing no internet connection it’s keep showing it’s offline which isn’t offline ( didn’t even touched the unit ) and after trying this and that reset the wife router and it will get back on for a week or so and then same thing happens over and over again. Getting so much stress because of this! Tried factory reset multiple times it works for a bit and back to square one!! What do i do??? Is there any solution to this??

Hello Everyone,

Thanks for posting in the community.
I completely understand your frustration with your Nest router, which keeps going offline repeatedly. It's definitely not ideal to experience these issues, especially after trying troubleshooting steps like factory resets. I really appreciate your effort in trying to fix it on your own.
Let me help you with some steps and important information you need to know and follow to help diagnose and potentially resolve the issue:

  • Temporary glitches: Sometimes, electronic devices experience temporary glitches that can cause connectivity issues. A simple power cycle might be the fix. Try turning off your Nest router, Nest points, and modem for at least 30 seconds, then turning them back on one by one, waiting for each device to fully boot up before powering on the next.
  • Loose connections: Double-check that all the network cables connecting your Nest router, Nest points, and modem are secure. Loose connections can disrupt signal transmission; please make sure that the only device connected to the modem is the Google Nest Router to avoid interference.
  • Change Wi-Fi Channel: If the issue persists, consider changing the Wi-Fi channel your Nest WiFi system is using. Congestion on a specific channel might be causing occasional dropouts. You can try changing the channel through the Google Home app settings or by following the steps on this Change Your DNS link
  • Move the Nest WiFi Router (if possible): Try repositioning the Nest WiFi router slightly (if feasible) to see if it stabilizes the connection.

Nest router issue: There's a possibility that the Nest router itself might be malfunctioning. In this case, we need to work with customer care to see what's exactly wrong with your Google Nest Router, so I’ll need additional information from you that would be best shared privately. I’m sharing a link to a form for you to fill out so we can look into this further. Please let me know once you’re done.

Let me know if you have any other questions. Thank you.

Regards,
Jorge
