Google wifi offline and unable to reset

One of 4 wifi point is offline with solid blue light.  Have gone through multiple troubleshooting steps to no avail: unplugged wifi point, rebooted modem, moved wifi point closer to modem, rebooted Google home app, force stop app (not in same order).  As last resort, attempted manually factory reset wifi point, that too failed. Would prefer not to factory reset entire network.  Any suggestions welcome.  Thanks.

Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry to hear one of your Google Wifi points has a solid blue light, indicating it is factory resetting itself. I'm happy to assist you.

Based on the information provided, a factory reset process will be necessary for only the Google Wifi point experiencing the inconvenience. To properly factory reset your device, please follow the steps below:

  1. Make sure to first factory reset your Google Wifi point from the Google Home app, as indicated in the article Factory reset your Wifi device.
  2. Factory reset your Google Wifi point with the reset button as indicated in the same article, Factory reset your Wifi device.
  3. Add the Google Wifi point in the Google Home app:
    • Open the Home app.
    • Tap Devices > Add > Google Nest or partner device.
    • If prompted, choose the home where you have the reset of your Google Wifi devices.
    • The app should find your Google Wifi device. Tap Yes to continue. If you have multiple devices available for setup, select the device that you'd like to set up as a point > Next.
    • Scan the QR code on the bottom of your device.
    • Hold your phone about 12 cm (5 in) away to scan.
    • If you're unable to scan the QR code, tap Continue without scanning, then enter the setup key on the bottom of your device.
    • Your point should now connect.
    • Follow the in-app instructions to finish the setup.
    • Once you've added your Google Wifi device, the app performs a mesh test to confirm that everything works.
