Currently, I have 1st gen router with two 1st gen points and a 2nd gen router, and two 2nd gen points. Google Home says that one of my 2nd gen points is online but when I run a mesh test, it shows up offline. I have tried resetting the point many times to no avail. It also says my router is my 1st gen and the rest are acting as wifi points including my second gen router. is there any way to change/fix this?

Hello Crashmanst,
Thanks for posting here in the Community.
Please visit this article to check if you've factory reset your Google Nest Wifi point correctly. If not, perform a reset on your device and add it as an access point in your mesh network again. Also, if you only created one mesh network for all of your Google Wifi and Nest Wifi devices, the first device that you've set up will be your main router and the rest will act as Wifi points.
Let me know if you have other questions or concerns.
Best,
Lovely

Hi LovelyM, Thank you for the response! Unfortunately, the methods you have given have not worked. Whenever I factory reset the 2nd gen wifi point and try to add the device back to Google Home, it goes to the 'final bits' and then times out saying to try again later. I then run a mesh test where I see it shows up as offline. Could you also further explain if there is a certain process I might be doing wrong?

Hi Crashmanst,
A few questions: what's the LED status of this Google Wifi? Can you share a screenshot of the message that you're encountering? How far is this device from the main point?
Move the Wifi point closer to the main point so it can establish a great connection. You can place it back in the room where you want it after the setup process. Make sure that the following settings below are configured on your iOS device as well.
Keep me in the loop.
Best,
Lovely

Hi LovelyM, I don't have icloud+, so I don't have access to Private Relay. I have Google Home toggled on for Privacy Local Network. I don't have a VPN installed on my phone and the option is off. I have forgotten my wifi as well and reconnected. The LED status on my wifi point is blinking white. I also have factory reset again and here is what comes up. I even tried to set it up as close as possible to my router point. If this helps, I am able to use google assistant on the wifi point and am even able to run speed tests from the point.

Hi LovelyM, Has there been any update on my issue?

Hey there Crashmanst,
Sorry for the delay. Kindly uninstall and then reinstall your Google Home app before configuring your Google Nest Wifi point. Toggle the Nest Wifi Cloud Services by following these steps: open the Google Home app > Tap Favorites and then Wifi > Go to Network settings > Privacy settings > Toggle Nest Wifi Cloud Services off for a minute; then turn it back on.
Cheers,
Lovely

Hello Crashmanst,
Have you tried the troubleshooting steps that I suggested? Let me know if that did the trick or not, so we can try something else.

Hey LovelyM, Although I didn't use the method you gave me, I just moved the wifi point farther away after setting it up and it fixed itself.
