Hardwiring google / nest wifi access points

I have both google wifi and nest wifi access points. 
I have a Nest wifi with hardwired Ethernet connection and see a difference in speed tests when I test with mesh or wired connection to this AP. 
I was planning to hard wire my other older google wifi AP in another room too, however this support article says google nest access points cannot be hard wired. 
Is that true?

Hello @Tjao 

Google WiFi and Nest WiFi Router units can be hardwired, since they have Ethernet ports. However, the Nest WiFi Point units can't be hardwired, because they do not have Ethernet ports. So, they can only be added to a Google/Nest WiFi system as wireless mesh points.
