I have Spectrum 1GIG service. Recently moved from their router to Google Wi-Fi. Running Mesh test in Home app and Speed Test everything is great. Speed from home app is 867-899 down and 36-42 up.
Now if I use Speed Test Up, it’s 340-420 down and 15-20 up. I tested with Android App, iOS, Windows 11. All give similar slower speeds.
I had connected my laptop to Ethernet port, with no change. Speed is definitely down because when I have download files, it’s right in the area where speed test app shows. Devices when tested are within 2 feet of node.
Any thoughts on why the difference?

Thanks for reaching out — let's get this sorted.
Make sure that you are using an undamaged Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cable that's securely plugged into your modem and Google Wifi to avoid dropped packets and slow speeds. You may also change the DNS servers and toggle off and on the Nest Wifi Cloud services. Here's how: open the Google Home app > Tap Wi-Fi > Settings > Choose privacy Settings > Turn off Nest Wifi cloud services and then on > Select Save.

Yes I have tried the steps with no luck. Odd Home App shows fine speed. Downloading anything reflects the 3rd party apps.

Please check if you're using a modem-router combo. If you are, enable bridge mode to avoid double NAT issues. You may also perform a factory reset on your entire network and let me know if there are any improvements in your network speed.

Cable Modem is for internet and telephony. The router was separate and unplugged.

Yes, it continues to be the same. Just ran another test 3rd Party 434DN/37UP Google Home app 872DN/30UP.
if I remove the router and use Ethernet to my lap(yes it will always be faster) I get 954DN/40UP.
