How do I change a former nest router to a point on another existing nest Wi-Fi network

I mistakenly used the “set up a new router” option for a new Nest router rather than adding it as a new device to my current Nest Wi-Fi network. I did a factory reset on the new router. But it will not allow me to add it as an access point because it is still recognized as a router from the original setup. How do I fix this?

Are you using it as a wireless mesh point, or with ethernet cable? If ethernet cable, make sure to connect the cable behind the primary/ master puck.

I don't work for Google.
