I picked up some new smart sockets and can’t connect them to the network. A little tease arch has revealed this to be a common problem, and most solutions involve walking away from the 5.0 range of your network so that the only thing that can connect is 2.4. That sounds like a silly solution for a device made by a company that should be on the cutting edge of convenient user interfaces.
Is there a way to manually switch from 5.0 to 2.4 in order to set up these devices?

Hi, everyone.
As we haven't had any activity here recently I'm going to go ahead and close the thread. If you have more to add, feel free to start a new discussion.
Thanks

I've looked and there isn't an option for that.
Unfortunately with devices like this that are designed to be plug and play they don't give you the same level of control of a traditional router. Every other wireless router I've had in the past has given me that option, but not this one.
