How do I open the google wifi to enable to have 2.4 and 5.0 settings

I need to be able to have 2.4 to allow my modern flames pro electric fireplace to work from my iPhone.  The fireplace will not work on my current 5.0 wifi.  I have a Google Wifi extender and a Surf Board SB6 190 router
