Linking to a smart device

So I have a mesh system with both the first gen Google wifi and a nest I just got today. I don't think I'm having a hardware issue..

I'm trying to link my front door locks and hub to Google home. The service I'm trying to link to is scienersmart but when I go to put username and password, no matter what I do the password automatically populate in addition to what I put in there. I have no problem logging in thru my chrome browser or thru Google search.

Please help?

John

Hi unostacy,

Thanks for reaching out to our community.

I’m sorry to hear that you can’t link your front door locks to your Google Home using the Scienersmart app. I understand that you are having trouble entering the username and password because it automatically populates in addition to what you type in. No worries; it is my pleasure to help you resolve this inconvenience.

Before we get started with further troubleshooting, let me ask you some important questions:

  • What is the make and model of your front door lock?
  • Is the Google Home app up-to-date?
  • Have you tried to remove and reinstall the Scienersmart app?
  • Could you please check on your mobile device to see whether the "autocomplete" feature is active for your WiFi password?

Thank you for your kind attention, I will be looking forward to your response.

Best regards,

Virna
