Hi JWBLACKBURN,
Thank you for posting in the community. I'm sorry that your Google Nest point just got disconnected. I understand how frustrating this can be. I'm here to help.
For your concern, please try the below steps:
- Factory data reset the additional point or Google routers, please follow: Factory reset your WiFi device.
- Add the additional point on the Google Home app again.
Google Wifi and Nest Wifi devices can be added to your network at any time. All additional Wi-Fi devices are considered points in the mesh network. Once you've decided where to place your point and have plugged it in, use the Home app for setup.
- Open the Home app.
- Tap Devices > Add > Google Nest or partner device.
- If prompted, choose a home.
- The app should find your Wi-Fi device. Tap Yes to continue. If you have multiple devices available for setup, select the device that you'd like to set up as a point > Next.
- Scan the QR code on the bottom of your device.
- Hold your phone about 12 cm (5 in) away to scan. Learn more tips for scanning QR codes.
- If you're unable to scan the QR code, tap Continue without scanning, then enter the setup key on the bottom of your device.
- Your point should now connect.
- Note: For Nest Wifi points, when you get a sound from your speaker, tap Yes.
- Follow the in-app instructions to finish setup.
- If you'd like to add another point, tap Yes in the app when prompted, or repeat these steps at a later time for additional points.
- Once you've added all your Wi-Fi devices, the app performs a mesh test to confirm that everything works.
Let me know how it goes and keep me posted.
Regards,
Kevin
