Hello,
I’ve been trying to search through all the posts, but cannot find my particular issue (or an answer). My google wifi (AC1200 with two additional hubs) is slowing my speeds to a crawl. When I run a speed test it clears up the wifi speeds for a bit but then I get throttled down again over time. My house is getting 500MB download speed to the router, but my wifi is showing 5MB when running a speed test via my browser (both web browser google and speedtest.net)
To fix the issue, I run a speed test from the ‘Google Home App’ and then retest a browser speed test and my speeds go from 5MB to over 100MB. Inevitably over time it throttles back down to 5 and I have to rinse and repeat daily. Very frustrated.
I am testing from the same spot, standing in front of the main mesh hub and seeing these results over and over. I don’t understand how running a speed test from my ‘google home app’ is fixing this nor why my speed is being throttled. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a similar though more intermittent issue. I have Google Nest Wifi, with 5 points (mix of Nest and Google wifi). Sometimes things are fine, but often latency goes way up and my bandwidth drops to single digits (I have 100/50 service). My ISP has plugged their router in to test and it has no issues. So there is something in my WAN that is causing this. How can I diagnose ? Ght Gogole Home app has limited capabilities. For example I'd like to know if there4 is interference in the wifi network and where but no idea how to do that. the mesh is like a black box. Also all my points are wired (ethernet) but they still show as 'meshed'

Hi folks,
That certainly isn’t the experience we want you to have. A few questions: are you using a modem/router combo from your Internet Service Provider (ISP)? Also, do you have any paused devices?
Give these steps a try:
You may skip any step that you’ve done already.
Keep us posted.
Best,
Dan
